Located in Southern California and assisting clients throughout the United States and the world, the Law Office of Robert E. Morton provides legal services to employers, professionals, skilled workers, extraordinary individuals, investors, and family members to obtain temporary work authorization, permanent residence (i.e., a “green card”), U.S. citizenship, and advice on related matters.
Robert E. Morton has represented large multinational corporations, high-tech start-ups, entrepreneurs, investors, professionals, skilled workers, extraordinary individuals, entertainers, athletes, and families before the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Services, U.S. Department of Labor, U.S. Department of State, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Bureau of Immigration Appeals, Office of Administrative Appeals, as well as U.S. Immigration Court and U.S. Federal Courts including the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
Prior to the current practice, Robert was managing partner of Frank & Morton LLP (formerly Frank, Greenberg, Simone & Stefanski), a boutique Los Angeles firm providing a broad range of immigration services to diverse clientele. Robert also served as associate attorney with leading business immigration firms in San Francisco and San Diego, including Berry Appleman & Leiden, Larrabee Mehlman Albi & Coker, Pearl Law Group, and Jewel & Associates.
Robert earned a Juris Doctor degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from the University of California at Santa Cruz. Robert is licensed to practice law in California and I has been admitted to the U.S. District Court, Central District of California, and the U.S. Court of Appeal, 9th Circuit.
Robert is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (“AILA”), serving on the Executive Board of AILA’s Northern California chapter from 2001 to 2002 in the position of Technology Liaison, and participating as a speaker at AILA’s Annual California and National Conferences and serving on the planning committee for local AILA conferences.
